Will you be one of the one billion rising to end rape and domestic violence?

onebillionrisingOn February 14, 2013, PreventConnect staff will join other CALCASA staff, legislators, community leaders, educators and students rise up to demand and end of violence on the West steps of the State Capitol at noon as part of the world-wide One Billion Rising movement. This vibrant international movement is inspiring action:

One in three women on the planet will be raped or beaten in her lifetime. One billion women is an atrocity. One billion women dancing is a revolution…. This event will take place across the planet, when ONE BILLION women and those who love them walk out, dance, rise up and demand an end to this violence. ONE BILLION RISING will move the earth, activating women and men across every country.

While we will be part of Sacramento One Billion Rising you can learn about other One Billion Rising events taking place in over 193 countries (the count as of today.)

What are you going to do to be part of one billion rising to demand an end to violence?
