Preventing sexual violence in Latin@ communities

NSVRC Latino

On Monday the National Sexual Violence Resource Center announced that it will be hosting two free webinars – one in English and one in Spanish – for advocates and other professionals on preventing sexual violence in Latin@ communities. These webinars follow the NSVRC’s release of Preventing sexual violence in Latin@ communities: A national needs assessment, which is a comprehensive report detailing advocates’ needs related to sexual violence in Latin@ communities.

The webinar in English (click here to register) will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, from 2 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern time.

The webinar in Spanish (click here to register) will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, from 2 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern time.

The learning objectives of the webinars are for participants to:

  • Learn about key results from the needs assessment,
  • Discover practical applications of findings for local, state, and national programs, and
  • Brainstorm ways that findings can be applied to their agencies.

Registration is required, and should be completed online by July 15, 2013 (English) or July 22, 2013 (Spanish). Anyone with questions should contact Jill Laster, [email protected], in English or in Spanish.
