The Lancet, one of the top medical journals in the world, has released a series of articles on global efforts against violence against women and girls. The series includes five reviews of approaches to responding to violence against women, an audio file of a discussion of the series, and comments from experts. You can register with the Lancet for free, and then see the full articles in the series at no charge.

The series focuses on low- and middle-income countries’ efforts in addition to studies from the US and other high-income countries. This is really exciting to me because a lot of low- and middle-income countries have a stronger focus on prevention than we do here, and I think there’s a lot we can learn from their work. I’ll be posting more about my take on some of the articles in the series soon.
