We are hiring – Join the PreventConnect team

We're hiring

PreventConnect is an online community of practice focused on the primary prevention of sexual, domestic, dating, and related forms of violence. Community members include prevention practitioners, evaluators, researchers, funders, government employees, activists, faculty, students, and many others. Widely hailed as the foremost resource for the prevention of gendered violence, PreventConnect offers uniquely engaging and vibrant learning communities through resources such as web conferences, podcasts, and eLearning courses. Practitioners learn about state of the art prevention tools and strategies they can apply at the local, state, and national (and even international) levels.

For over 10 years, PreventConnect staff have utilized their expertise, relationships, and experience to craft environments that foster learning, exploration, and collaboration. Initially funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, PreventConnect has expanded with additional funding from the Ms. Foundation for Women and other private funders. In the next year, PreventConnect is expanding to have a greater focus on preventing sexual violence on college campuses and supporting community-based prevention program implementation.

Now PreventConnect is ready for new staff members to join the team. Like those who have come before, the ideal candidates will come to the position with a strong understanding of primary prevention of gendered violence, in the context of comprehensive prevention. These people will understand the needs, interests, and assets of the PreventConnect audience and be able to demonstrate not only expertise, but also experience in responding to and utilizing such factors. This may include, but is not limited to, direct practice, training, technical assistance, curricula development, relationship building, and the like.

PreventConnect is a responsive, fast-paced, and vibrant community of practice. As its team grows, so too will its innovative offerings.
