Not Another Training In a Box: Supporting Community Based Primary Prevention Strategies

This interactive session presented by Matthew Huffman of the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence, Destie Hohman Sprague of the Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Kat Monusky of the Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs, and Peggy Helton of the Texas Office of the Attorney General explored successes and challenges in implementing community-based primary prevention strategies.
The presenters reviewed common barriers to innovative work and shared lessons learned from current efforts in Maine, Missouri, Texas and Washington State  to build capacity, support community-based prevention programming, and to define success for prevention efforts.
