Ignite Talk: Ready, Set, Listen: How Community Readiness Can Help Us Develop More Effective Prevention Programming

Prior to the 2016 National Sexual Assault Conference in Washington, D.C., the National Sexual Violence Resource Center hosted the 2016 RPE Leadership Training. Ignite Talks sparked important conversations about advancing our prevention work.

In this talk, Liz Zadnik of the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Violence, spoke on her experience with community readiness and readiness assessments. Liz explored the potential that collecting meaningful data to inform prevention programming through existing skills of compassionate advocacy and active listening can have in creating safer communities.

You can access the resource from the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape that Liz highlights on assessing community readiness here.
