Flipping the Technical Assistance Script with Communities of Practice

Prior to the 2017 National Sexual Assault Conference in Dallas, TX, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center hosted the 2017 RPE Leadership Training.  Ignite Talks sparked important conversations about advancing our prevention work.

In this talk, Maya Pilgrim and Denise Loya of the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA) tell the story of innovative technical assistance approaches designed to recognize and honor the  knowledge and expertise practitioners bring from their local communities. These communities of practice support each other through peer learning and problem solving. Maya and Denise also share about their evaluation process and findings to date.
