Using Oregon’s Evidence-Based Best-Practice Advocacy Model to Pave the Way for Comprehensive Prevention on College and University Campuses

Prior to the 2017 National Sexual Assault Conference in Dallas, TX., the National Sexual Violence Resource Center hosted the 2017 RPE Leadership Training.  Ignite Talks sparked important conversations about advancing our prevention work.

In this Ignite Talk, Meg Foster of The Oregon Attorney General’s Sexual Assault Task Force explores Oregon’s efforts in implementing and supporting robust evidence-based models of prevention programming on campuses, and discusses the successes and challenges faced in this process. Meg also highlights how this evidence-based initiative rooted in community-based prevention is shifting the culture to prevent sexual violence in campus communities.
