Implementing Community-Level Strategies to Prevent Sexual and Domestic Violence

Recent PreventConnect web conferences have explored outer level approaches to sexual and domestic violence prevention including improving the economic opportunities of communities and transforming the physical/built environment. The examples presented in these web conferences also align with strategies and approaches identified in CDC’s STOP SV: A Technical Package to Prevent Sexual Violence and Preventing Intimate Partner Violence Across the Lifespan: A Technical Package of Programs, Policies and Practices. This Peer Learning Forum will highlight community-level change strategies and feature examples from DELTA FOCUS and RPE grantees and sub grantees engaged in community-level prevention work.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Increase understanding of community-level change strategies drawing upon CDC’s technical packages, STOP SV: A Technical Package to Prevent Sexual Violence and Preventing Intimate Partner Violence: A Technical Package of Programs, Policies and Practices.
  2. Describe community-level prevention efforts from DELTA FOCUS and RPE grantees and sub grantees
