National Conference update: Rock on!

Brad Perry is the Sexual Violence Prevention Coordinator for the Virginia Sexual & Domestic Violence Action Alliance (VSDVAA).  In addition to being a well respected prevention leader and author of wonderful articles in Moving Upstream: Virginia’s newsletter for the primary prevention of sexual violence and intimate partner violence, Brad is also the drummer of the band Worn in Red. I caught up with Brad as his band was playing at the 924 Gilman Project in California.

Join hundreds of people committed to addressing sexual violence at the 2010 National Sexual Assault Conference in Los Angeles. Click here for more information. Abstracts are due March 12, 2010 – please submit your proposals today.

  1. Brad is too cool for school. Seriously, though, think of the changes we could make if every one of us who is a musican or who knows musicians engaged them in sexual assault prevention…

  2. I love WiR and they totally rock! There’s a really good history of punk and hardcore bands, particularly from the D.C. area, speaking out against sexism and other forms of oppression, so it’s awesome to see the tradition continue.
