Ignite Talk: It Takes a Village…for Successful Prevention Partnerships!

Prior to the 2016 National Sexual Assault Conference in Washington, D.C., the National Sexual Violence Resource Center hosted the 2016 RPE Leadership Training. Ignite Talks sparked important conversations about advancing our prevention work.

Take a “tour” of Guam in this Ignite Talk presented by Cynthia Cabot of the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence and Al Silverio of Guam’s Department of Public Health and Social Services. Cynthia and Al review the cultural practices and traditional customs in the different Asian and Pacific Islander (API) communities on Guam that influence healthy relationships and may impact sexual violence. Hear about the beauty of API cultures, along with the barriers and unique challenges faced with raising awareness of sexual violence prevention and providing services to victims/survivors.
