Beginning with an exploration of the history of work related to preventing sexual violence in the United States with the first anti-rape efforts evolving from the anti-slavery movement, this workshop explores shifts in how we think and talk about preventing sexual violence. The presenters discuss the importance of changing environments that impact how people behave in order to have . The presenters provide examples of community-level prevention and discuss policy and social norms change. Strategic thinking around partnerships is also discussed.
