Peer Learning Forums are PreventConnect’s online forum for sexual violence and domestic violence prevention practitioners to learn from each other to strengthen their prevention work. The Peer Learning Forum is designed to go deeper into prevention topics in a series of three web conferences with a targeted audience. Peer Learning Forums will include use of online resources such as podcasts and eLearning units.

Join the first Peer Learning Forum of 2014!  Utilizing PreventConnect’s well-known web conference format, these forums each consist of a series of three connected web conferences that explore prevention topics in depth and allow for dynamic audience interaction.  The first Peer Learning Forum will focus on utilizing public narratives for sexual and domestic violence prevention efforts.  Public narratives have the power to shape people’s conscious perceptions, understandings, analysis, and sense of what needs to be done and is possible.  Throughout the series, you will have the opportunity to learn about public narratives, how they have been used in sexual and domestic violence prevention and related work, and how to use them for your own prevention work.
